Shadoof in one of my favourite words, possibly because of its near onomatopoeia.
Also my computer is making a quiet little pinging/whistling sound that is almost exactly like the scanners used by the space marines in “Aliens” and we all know what happened to them.
Now I think I really need a coffee.

An irrigation device...those things you see by the Nile like big scoops on a pole.
When they dump the water into the ditches it goes "Shadooofff"
It is the proper name honest.

you been reading the dictionary again?
words that sound like the thing they describe or are.
"Bang" for instance.
"Splash" etc..
i will try and remember that word, for when I want to sound intelligent 
Not sure I can pronounce it correctly though. How come it does not sound like what it is? An example of irony perhaps.
bloody hell you and that dictionary mate never heard of those words, as for you pc everyone you have had starts making wierd noises but thats Weird Inc for you
