Till Sarah starts getting stressed cos he is not with us and she is worrying about him.
When I was 9 I used to miss my dog when we went on holiday without him and sometimes I used to cry for him. Don't know why my parents didn't drown me.

Hamsters are ok for a few days on their own, bung loads of food in the cage and make sure the water bottle is full and won't fall off. They like the peace, to be honest.
Of the 8 hamsters I've had, the boys have always been far more placid and easy to handle than the girls, and more fastidious in their hygiene habits... that's the general consensus on hamster care sites, too.
Still. Not your problem-

Ah. Just seen the tag. Hamsters don't make much noise, certainly not with their feet... they gnaw at the cage, and make it rattle. They also shag a lot. Lucky bastards. Get just the one if you don't want to have thousands of tiny feet. xLux

That's great. Mrs H will be pleased to hear this news, she likes Hamsters.
We met up with friends at New Years and during one conversation our friend told us about her son (who is around 18 months old) and how her daughters (aged 4 and 6) like to play with him, "the only trouble is" she said, "is that when they are playing Matthew [the son] always plays the part of a hamster." -
