Well I nearly dozed off during that it was a bit repetitious and nothing really new. The Bog bodies already confirmed that human sacrifice was likely to have occurred. Didn't see much evidence to confirm canabalism though so not sure what all that was about.
I seem to recall the sacred groves were described in Tacitus as Oak groves but they seemed to be showing beech trees. Oh well.
BUT in any case the programme was a bit self righteous from teh Roman perspective since the Roman's murdered people rigth left and center.
Yes, I think Chelmsford 123 was better probably less conjecture and more to the point.
I still reserve the right to find TV unreservedly dull.
