Opera hangover.

by Old-Nick @ 2007-11-17 - 16:52:46

I think listening to all that opera at three in the morning has had an odd effect on me.

I had the strangest urge to charge down the high road brandishing my spear and magic helmet, then roll some cigarettes on the thighs of some local maidens.

How very very odd.

It's not all metal and booze ya know.

Well OK, most of the music tonight was of the rockin' or alternative nature and yes, there was and still is a tad of alcomahol knocking about.

BUT

We am listening to OPERA!

No, you twaddle heeeeded lump monsters - not a spoken word albumn by Opera Whinfrey, she of the trash "I'm so guilty I is shaggin my mothers sheep" tv show (sic)

Opera - that there stuff sung in an strange tongue.

So far we have had Carmen (actually went past the ciggie factory where she worked in the opera on a day trip from Portugal) and at the moment we are listening to Mahler - yep I know it's not opera but you need a break from all those "spanish" people singing in French, and we are now having a bit of the old Offenbach, as you do.

tales of Hoffman I suspect. Well I say suspect. That is what Shipscook told me we are about to hear.

Ya see, music is like food - you need to try and taste and enjoy new things. Not that Clasical music is new to me or S&F. But being rock monsters in the most part, you need a bit of "palette clensing" from time to time.

As long as you wash your ears out with good music of course.

If this makes any sense to anybody - they win a virtual Maclaren F1 in the colour of their choice.

Eeeep.

OI! no Hang on!

by Old-Nick @ 2007-11-17 - 01:58:46

Where is my, no it was there, Hang on shut up where's me, No not there.

Excuse me but has anyone seen my,

Oh THERE it is.

Sorry.

Should have checked all my pockets first.

A day late and a bit refreshed.

by Old-Nick @ 2007-11-17 - 01:26:25

OK, I know I said I would be here at about Ten of the evening clock, but I lied.

Jacuzzis and food and arseing about and texting rubbish to people with no credit just to agravate them got in my way.

So bloody sue me!

heh.

Anyway here I am at large at the pc with no idea what I was going to say.

So let me impart or deport or despond or despatch or dipstick some very vital and important life advice style stuff and such unto you all.

Three things you need to remember in life.

1 - never make an enemy of a doorman.

2 - never run up the stairs at Russell Square tube station

3 - never sleep with a dirty badger while its dad is looking.

That is all.

ahem.
