A list of things I like and enjoy - because I'm bored.

by Old-Nick @ 2007-11-15 - 15:03:26

1 Playing my guitar. Relaxes me and makes me happy.

2 Watching a good film alone in a darkened room with a nice large glass of wine. It would be better with someone female snuggled up with me, but there ya go.

3 Taking a black cab anywhere. Makes me feel grown up for some odd reason- I'm 44 for christs sake!

4 Laying on a beach, being in that zone just between asleep and awake, with the sound of the waves in the background.

5 Popping the seal on a new jar of coffee!

6 Sitting in a bar talking with friends/a friend late into the night. About rubbish or about bigger things.

7 Good food. Preferably eaten in the company of number 10.

8 Reading a good book. It makes you forget where you are.

9 Music. Can't live without it.

10 Friends. Can't live without them.

11 Sex. Obvious but worth a mention. Preferably with someone I care about. Or myself - I'm not proud. ahem.

12 Exploring a new town on holiday, hunting out the little roads where you find the quiet but great restaurant, the cool bar with a great atmosphere and not too many tourists, and if your really lucky - a great old harbour.

13 DOGS!

14 My daughters laugh.

15 Autum sunlight.

16 Blogging.

S'nuff of that.

Why do I have to run out of coffee when it's so cold out there and so warm and comfy in here!

Why do I have to now get my arse in gear and put my coat on and go next door in all that coldness and spend money!

And why have I got to whinge at you lot about it!

It must be that time of the month. I want attention and I want it NOW!

Juddging from the lack of postings from people on my friends list.

Sooooo, being of the bored and lunchtime nature I made use of the old "next blog" button and went for a wander.

Some interesting and funny stuff was found, along with some not so stunning sites (but hey!, I can talk eh?)

Also discovered some people in similar situations to me.

It's amazing how few truly original "scripts" we have to work with, us humans.

Right, a quick splurge of off the top of my head rubbish as I have no time for a more structured approach due to the boss being in.

Saw the new moon last night, a slim silver sliver in the royal blue sky. I have missed her. Hopefully things will get better now.

Gordon “goldfish gob” Brown is saying he wants to put security scanners in 250 rail stations to spread the misery of air travel across the rail networks. Of course there will be a comprehensive system of compensation payments available for all the missed trains, assaults on rail staff will not increase because that kind of fucking about before a trip just makes people calmer, and once you clear the checks, they will not try and sell you all the things they took off of you before you went through at an inflated price. If ever there was a bigger case of a twat beating around in the bushes with a big stick saying, “look at me! I am doing good things for you!” I have missed it.

Tonight after work I is having am Kebab I is. Yep. As Shipscook says a tearful farewell to the office just up the road and moves next week into the office I used to work in near Soho (which has now been all done up) He will be saying goodbye to his favourite Kebab emporium with a farewell Dona and I and Mrs F will be joining him.
Expect tearful eyes and sniffling, but that could just be the chilli sauce.
