Secret geek.

by Old-Nick @ 2007-11-10 - 10:10:31

I know my image to you all is of a slightly disreputable older uncle, cool and rockish, devilishly balding and slightly handsome at the front and all of that, but I am not actually that cool.

And if who ever that is that is laughing hysterically could just step outside for a minute I will continue!

Ahem.

Now yesterday on a friends blog I mentioned that I like watching Manga films. The amount of "Really! I never had you down as a manga fan" reaction was quite unexpected. Yeah, I have some films..It's not a problem - I can handle it.

But also, when I was younger - sort of early teens, I was really into Marvel and DC comics. Used to have piles of them, Spider man, Silver Surfer, fantastic four, X-men (before they dumped the old costumes) Conan (Barry Smith was the best artist!) superman even and of course some Bat Man. Oh and Captain America.

No problem. Grew out of it all I did.

OK, I still have a weakness for Graphic Novels but its under control. Watchmen, Give me liberty or give me death (I think its called), The Knightfall/knightsend trilogy, There is a sandman one somewhere around. Batman - year one, Actually there are quite a lot of Batman ones.

Hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe I should see someone about this after all.

Egad!

and possibly zounds! but that is, when all is said and done, pushing it a bit.

Egad is actually a fantastic exclamation - why do we not still use it. Answers on a buttered lobster to

So, right. Not been blogging much for the past couple of days due to actually really doing a bit of work whilst at work. Which is always a pain in the danglers if you ask me. Which you didn't but I don't care - my blog, my rules.

And I have had a few things on my mind, like tons of screeming and howling monkeys.

But a little bit of the load has lifted.

So I will enjoy it while I can.

I should actually be in the old bedarama thing upstairs having wopping great chunky kip adventures, but obviously I am here typing whatever comes into my noggin. Why should I be in the land of nod (the land of nod is actually near the village in Yorkshire that my sister lives in. so there) what with tonight being of the Friday variety?

Well I have to be up at 08.30 this morning (he said noticing the time) to take Sarah up to London with the aid of the fantastic Mrs F for fun in a park, food in a Chinese restaurant or noodle bar and then a waddle with fully bellies round the British Museum.

We has culture we ham!

I do have a sneaky suspicion that the wind will be blowing hard enough to blow a dog off a chain tomorrow - but that's why God made woolly hats!

So there.

This post reads like it was written by a mad man.

So that's the quality control check sorted then!
