Because I need a matched set of Mullard power amp valves for my Marshall (that sound is all the females on my friends list, and all but two of the males stopping reading right there) as the ones in it now have been fried beyond use.

I can tell this by the lack of top end sparkle in the sound. It is my fault for running the amp flat out through a power attenuator to get a better sound at low volumes but, its the only way to show a Marshall who is boss right?

So now I am going over to Hox Rox website to do some retail therapy.

I was looking forward to it being properly cold in Edinburgh over the weekend. I took my fleecy jacket to wear under my black bomber jacket, my wooly hat and some good gloves. Was it cold? erm - not really. It was chilly but I only ever wore one jacket at a time. This time last year it was bloody freezing up there.

The sunlight was good though, that low angled early winter light does make the buildings and graveyards look very cool.

It seems to be colder this morning than it was up there at the weekend.

Good! I like getting all bundled up in thick clothes and going out. With all those layers on you dont have to hold your gut in! The problem is that the heating on the trains will be set to kill so once you get onboard you feel like you are being cooked.

Oh well, that was a waffly early morning monday post, so my responsibilities have been dispensed.
